Universal Expansion Bellows with One Side Square Flange

 Purpose

* Used where the connection point (like to a duct, rectangular equipment nozzle, or square-to-round transition) is square or rectangular on one side, but connects to round piping on the other.

* Common in ducting systems, fan connections, exhaust systems, and equipment inlets/outlets.

Structure

1. Two Bellows Allows greater movement absorption (axial, lateral, angular).

2. Central Spool/Pipe Maintains distance between bellows and allows lateral flexibility.

3. Square Flange Side

   * Matches the duct or rectangular connection face.

   * Bolt holes arranged per ducting equipment pattern.

   * May require gussets or stiffeners to keep flange from distortion.

4. Other End

   * Usually round flange (ANSI/DIN) or welding end for pipe connection.

5. Tie Rods (if pressure thrust needs to be restrained).

 Movement Capabilities

Lateral movement Large, thanks to double-bellows design.

Axial movement Moderate.

Angular movement Small to medium, depending on length.

Materials

Bellows Stainless steel (SS 304, SS 316, Inconel, etc.).

Flanges Mild steel, stainless steel, or as per duct/piping material.
