Purpose

* Used where the connection point (like to a duct, rectangular equipment nozzle, or square-to-round transition) is square or rectangular on one side, but connects to round piping on the other.

* Common in ducting systems, fan connections, exhaust systems, and equipment inlets/outlets.

Structure

1. Two Bellows Allows greater movement absorption (axial, lateral, angular).

2. Central Spool/Pipe Maintains distance between bellows and allows lateral flexibility.

3. Square Flange Side

* Matches the duct or rectangular connection face.

* Bolt holes arranged per ducting equipment pattern.

* May require gussets or stiffeners to keep flange from distortion.

4. Other End

* Usually round flange (ANSI/DIN) or welding end for pipe connection.

5. Tie Rods (if pressure thrust needs to be restrained).

Movement Capabilities

Lateral movement Large, thanks to double-bellows design.
